I haven't posted in a long while. I have been out and about taking photos, but haven't been spending much time editing. This past weekend we went down to DC to photograph, of all things, the Justice Department.
The building was completed in 1935, and encompasses the block between 9th and 10th, Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues. There are sculptural elements both inside and outside the building. Also, there are many quotes on the outside of the building. I wanted to photograph the quotes! An odd thing to photograph, but there you go. I did. I decided to use black and white processing on the images. You can see them on my site under Buildings, Justice Department.
Next up is the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia.
