In November 2015, ten of us took an organized tour of The Golden Triangle in India. The area known as The Golden Triangle is: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Our trip also included Ranthambhore National Park and Karauli. We used Magical Journeys India in the US as our tour booking company. Steve was very responsive when dealing with questions. He customized the trip according to our needs. The India based tour company was Eternal Journeys India. We choose not to stay at typical American hotels, with the exception of the Sheraton in Agra. Our hotels were:
I was a little apprehensive about going to India. However, after having been there, I would go back. India and it's people were amazing. If you decide to go, please remember India is not America. There will be culture shock. I would not recommend driving, but hiring a driver. Our tour had a comfortable bus with a driver, a helper and a tour guide. On the road you will see cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, possibly camels, cows, bulls, pigs, dogs, chickens, goats, horses, people. Highlight of the trip include the elephant ride up to the top of Amber Fort. Just seeing everything that is different in India from the US was eye opening. We saw a wedding being set up in the courtyard of the City Palace in Jaipur. Our guide took us to a wedding venue in Agra. The setup was amazing. We saw a wedding parade with the groom in Agra. Lots of fireworks going off in all directions, viewed from the roof of the Sheraton in Agra. The fireworks were part of the wedding celebrations. An amazing temple, Galtajl in Khania-Balajl, aka 'Monkey Temple'. The monkey photos are from there.
