Our travels for July took us to the Outer Banks for a family vacation. All together there were 13 of us! We had lots of fun playing with the little ones and taking them to the Duck 4th of July parade. While there, Vic and I took a trip to see the Corolla Wild Horses and Carova. We must have seen at least 20-25 horses. I was surprised to find that there were so many houses out on Carova, you need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get out there. The beach there was more crowded then our part of the beach in Southern Shores.
I also took a private photography lesson from Dan Waters. I had a lot of fun and learned more about photography and my camera. If you are interested in improving your skills, I would suggest a private lesson or a group lesson, see the link below. For my lesson, we went to Avalon Pier at Sunrise (lesson learned: remember to turn off image stabilization if putting the camera on a tripod) and Jockey's Ridge State Park.

We had a wonderful dinner at Fisherman's Wharf in Wanchese. The seafood is fresh, I highly recommend this place.
A bucket list item that we did, was to take the ferry to Ocracoke. Vic has been wanting to do this for years. Ocracoke is a very quaint town.
Photos for the Outer Banks are under TRAVEL, OUTER BANKS. Keep checking back, it will take me awhile to go through the 900+ photos and edit them. Of course, I'm not posting that many :)!
