While walking around Lake Elkhorn, in Columbia, MD this weekend, we saw a couple of muskrats. At first, I thought it was a beaver. This little fellow was providing lots of entertainment for the folks walking around the lake. According to Wikipedia, the muskrat is a semi-aquatic rodent native to North America. They can grow up to 24 inches long and weigh up to 4 pounds. They live in wetlands and are most active at dawn and dusk.
